Elections 2025: A Preservation Primer

Santa Clara County voters are returning to the polls for a special election to replace Santa Clara County Assessor Larry Stone, who resigned from his position in July 2025.

To better inform voters and candidates alike on major policy issues related to historic preservation, development, and the future of San José, PAC*SJ distributed this seven-question survey to the four candidates vying for election.

As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, PAC*SJ does not make candidate endorsements. However, we strongly encourage all County residents to learn more about each candidate's position on these issues and to vote by November 4th. Should no candidate receive more than 50% of the vote, a two-person run-off election will be held on December 30, 2025.
