The Bocca house was the last structure in the River Street Historic District left to be relocated and renovated. It had been on wheels for some time awaiting a permanent lot and new foundation. While waiting, it found itself in the path of the Guadalupe River Flood Protection Project and needing to move to a safer spot. PAC*SJ President Pat Curia was on hand to watch the house move on Sunday, November 10th, 2002.

The rig made a sharp turn on muddy ground and got stuck. |

An earth mover came to the rescue, towing the rig and the house together. |
