This image shows the first floor layout as it existed prior to the move. The annex with ballroom would be at the top of the drawing, but is not included. The bottom of the picture is the main lobby which faces 2nd Street. The right hand side, which has another entrance to the lobby, faces the Fairmont Hotel, across the Paseo de San Antonio.
The crosshatch areas shows the extent of the marble mosaic floor, which was saved and relocated to the floor of the Montgomery in its new location, 150 South. The floor was cut into 18 inch sections. Each square was separated from the concrete floor, marked and saved for reinstallation.
The original ballroom is in the upper right corner. You can see the hallway on it's left side that was added to provide access to the annex. This hallway was built in 1917. The Hotel will likely be restored to its 1911 configuration, due to the loss of the annex. So the original ballroom will be restored to its original dimensions.
